You can watch a great learning video and still be left wondering how it actually applies to your own situation. This feature lets you tell Kaha Create what you're facing, and it reshapes your reflection prompt and action plan around that context, rather than a generic one.
Watch: Personalise This For Me: AI-Personalised Learning for Your Own Situation
Open the Reflection Prompt or 3-Step Action Plan on any module and describe your situation in your own words: what's happening, who's involved, what you're trying to solve
The activity reshapes around your horopaki (context), rather than staying generic
This works once a day, per resource, per learner
Most of the AI work behind this happens on the Creator's side rather than being freshly generated for every learner, which keeps the environmental cost down
Anyone working through a Kaha Create module who wants guidance specific to their own situation, not just the general lesson, especially when they can't be in the room with the person who shared the knowledge.
Why can I only personalise once a day per resource?
This is an intentional Kaitiakitanga commitment. Kaha Create deliberately doesn't run unlimited AI regeneration, because AI use carries a real environmental cost.
Does personalising the activity change it for other learners?
No, your personalised version is yours alone. The version other learners see stays the same.
What happens to the situation I describe?
It isn't saved or stored anywhere after your session.
Can I personalise the quiz too?
Not currently. This applies to the Reflection Prompt and the 3-Step Action Plan.
Can I still use the activity if I don't personalise it?
Yes, the general version created by the module's author is always there. Personalising it is optional.
