The Extra Resources section allows you to upload files or link to external content that complements your kōrero. This gives learners access to tools, templates, references, and deeper learning materials that support their understanding and application.
The Extra Resources section is ideal for:
Research and references - Link to academic papers, articles, or reports that provide deeper context
Worksheets and templates - Share Canva templates, Google Sheets, or documents learners can copy and customise for exercises
Deeper learning materials - Link to e-books, manuals, or comprehensive written resources for those wanting more detail
Supplementary videos - Share YouTube videos or other content from experts that further explain concepts or topics
Data and evidence - Link to Google Sheets showcasing data referenced in your kōrero, or datasets learners can explore
Tools and applications - Provide access to templates, calculators, or other practical tools learners can use immediately
Examples and case studies - Upload PDFs or link to real-world examples that illustrate your teaching
Upload files when you want to provide materials directly (PDFs, documents, spreadsheets you've created)
Link to external resources when pointing to:
Templates learners should copy (set permissions to "view only" or "comment only")
Public domain research or articles
Videos hosted on other platforms
Interactive tools or web-based resources
For Google Sheets or Docs: Ensure sharing settings are set to "Anyone with the link can view" or "Anyone with the link can comment" - never give edit access to the original template.
For templates: Clearly indicate in the resource title or description that learners should "make a copy" to use it themselves.
Quality over quantity: Only include resources that genuinely add value. Too many options can overwhelm learners.
This section won't be appropriate for all resources. If your kōrero is complete and self-contained, you may not need additional resources. Use this feature strategically when supplementary materials will genuinely enhance learning outcomes.
If you're unsure whether to include extra resources, ask yourself: "Would my learners benefit from having tools, templates, or deeper references to support their learning journey?" If yes, add them. If not, you can leave this section empty.
