Why add resources? Resources and files extend the learning experience by providing worksheets, templates, deeper reading, related research, and other supporting materials that complement your video content. This helps learners go deeper and gives them tools to apply what they've learned.
You can upload or link to a wide range of supporting materials, including:
Worksheets and workbooks
E-books and guides
Templates and checklists
Deeper reading and research papers
Related articles and references
Slide decks and presentations
Any other materials already in the public domain that support your learning content
Step 1: Start Creating or Editing a Resource Begin creating a new learning resource or open an existing one to edit.
Step 2: Activate the Resources Toggle During the resource creation or edit process, you'll see a toggle to add resources. Activate this toggle to enable resources for your learning content.
Step 3: Choose Your Upload Method
Once the resources toggle is activated, you have two options:
Option A: Upload Files
Click Upload to add files directly from your device
You can upload worksheets, templates, guides, or any other supporting materials
The files will be stored with your learning resource
Option B: Link to Existing Resources
Click Link to add a URL to external resources
Paste the link to research, articles, or other materials already available online
This is useful for directing learners to deeper reading or related content
Step 4: Add as Many Resources as You Need You can upload or link to as many resources as you'd like. Keep adding materials until your learning content is fully supported.
Step 5: Save Your Resource Once you've added all your supporting materials, save your learning resource. Your resources will now be available to learners alongside your video content.
Enhance the learning: Choose resources that directly support and extend your video content
Mix and match: Combine uploaded files and external links to give learners different types of materials
Keep it relevant: Only add resources that will help learners understand and apply what they've learned
Check permissions: If linking to external content, make sure you have permission to share it and that it aligns with your kaupapa
Organise clearly: Give your resources clear titles so learners understand what each one is for
